Threat of Women’s World Cup blackout causes concern in Japan

Japan coach Futoshi Ikeda has expressed his concern over the current impasse for domestic broadcast rights to the 2023 Fifa Women’s World Cup, stating that a lack of Japanese television coverage of the tournament could harm the future development of women’s football in the country.
