Football: Austrian public-service broadcaster ORF acquired the rights for all 31 matches of the Euro 2008 tournament in a deal worth €10m (£7m). The deal, which also includes non-exclusive radio rights, was brokered by the Sporfive agency on behalf of Uefa. It concludes months of negotiation after commercial broad-caster ATV submitted a bid of €16.8m but then withdrew from the bidding process. Sportfive had initially asked for €18m, more than three times the €5.1m that ORF paid for Euro 2004.
